Josh Hakanson Quartet

The Josh Hakanson Quartet features staple performers and educators of the state of Iowa.

Simon Harding (saxophones) has served on the faculty of Wartburg College and is an accomplished performer and improviser with many performing credits to his name.

Professor emeritus Bob Washut (piano) is an accomplished jazz composer/arranger/pianist. He served and taught on the faculty of UNI for 38 years, including 22 as director of jazz studies.

Des Moines bassist, Eric Krieger is a graduate of the UNI School of Music. He is a member of Des Moines Big Band, and performs regularly in a wide array of musical settings.

And finally, Josh Hakanson (drums) has served on the faculty of both UNI and Wartburg College and has performed and collaborated with many world-class musicians, both local and international.
